Charlottesville Waldorf School
Charlottesville Waldorf School invites families with young children to our Early Childhood Open House on Saturday, October 17, 10am-12pm. Come explore our classrooms and playground, meet our Early Childhood teachers, Enrollment team, and School Director, and experience the warmth and rhythm of a Waldorf preschool and kindergarten morning.
This Open House is an opportunity for families who are exploring preschool and kindergarten options in Charlottesville to see our Early Childhood programs in action and get to know our school community. Whether you are already familiar with Waldorf education or are simply beginning to consider different approaches to early childhood education, we welcome you to come visit, ask questions, and see what a morning at Charlottesville Waldorf School feels like.
A Morning for Play & Connection
Children are welcome and encouraged to attend. During the Open House, families can explore our classrooms and playground, while children have opportunities for free play, coloring, outdoor play, and exploration.
At 10:30am, we will gather for a special story and circle time with an Early Childhood teacher. Circle time is a familiar part of the Waldorf kindergarten rhythm, bringing children and teachers together through stories, songs, movement, and seasonal activities.
Our Early Childhood programs serve children from ages 2-6, including Playgarden for ages 2-3 and our Mixed-Age Kindergartens for ages 3-6. Our approach emphasizes a healthy rhythm of indoor and outdoor experiences, imaginative and creative activity, meaningful work, movement, and plenty of time for children to play and develop at their own pace.
Explore Charlottesville Waldorf School
If you are looking for a preschool or kindergarten in Charlottesville, the Open House is a chance to experience our school beyond a website or brochure. Meet the people who will be part of your child’s experience, see our classrooms and outdoor spaces, and learn more about how Waldorf education supports young children’s development through relationship, rhythm, nature, and hands-on experiences.
Join us anytime between 10am and 12pm, and plan to join us at 10:30am for story and circle time.
Advance registration is requested so we know how many families to expect, but drop-ins are also welcome.
We look forward to welcoming you and your family to Charlottesville Waldorf School!
