Welcome from the Admissions Office!
The Charlottesville Waldorf School is a warm and vibrant community dedicated to the education of our children. Since 1982, CWS has offered a Waldorf curriculum to families in the Charlottesville area, inspiring students to make learning their own through a research-based, arts-infused academic curriculum that engages, empowers, and encourages a lifelong love of learning.
The Charlottesville Waldorf School is one of over 1000 Waldorf/Steiner Schools around the world, and a member of AWSNA, the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America.
Admissions for Early Childhood and Grades
How to Visit
The first step in our Admissions Process for Early Childhood and Grade School is to schedule a tour of the campus. Generally this tour includes just the parents, though if children need to accompany that can be arranged. We are able to offer in-person tours at this time.
Or, families can fulfill the visit requirement by attending one of our Open Houses for the Early Childhood or Grades programs, during which children can explore the classrooms and parents can visit with the Admissions Director and members of the faculty.
How to Apply
Ready to apply? After visiting our campus, we can begin the application process, allowing our teachers to get to know your child and your family to become more familiar with our school.
Tuition and Fees
At CWS we believe in the value of a holistic, independent education.
