Edelweiss Illustration
Edelweiss Illustration prints, bookmarks, stickers and cards create fantasy out of reality. Regional animals are drawn naturalistically but with anthropomorphic accoutrements and sometimes set in real, usually local, landscapes. The body of work combines graphite, ink, wash, and photomanipulation to showcase the sustainable interaction of nature, art, and technology. The end results are illustrations from stories not yet written. It is the artist’s hope that they will inspire the viewer to see the stories in their own natural environment and then tell them.
