Music, art, nature, and movement
At the Charlottesville Waldorf School, our Waldorf curriculum is enhanced and enriched with a unique array of specialty subject classes. At the Charlottesville Waldorf School, students are engaged in handcrafting through a variety of fiber and textile handwork projects, woodworking, and gardening. Spanish language begins in First Grade with a focus on absorbing the beauty, rhythm, and comprehension of the language. Music is shared throughout the curriculum, but is also focused in specialty classes through flute and recorder playing, on to a variety of string instruments and orchestra in the upper Elementary Grades and throughout Middle School. Movement classes inspire confidence and social skills through playing and moving together.
