Join our Meadow Parent & Child class on Friday mornings!

Experience the warmth and rhythm of a Waldorf early childhood classroom… a peaceful home-like setting with open-ended play items that nurture imagination and cultivate creativity.

Meadow class begins by engaging children in the rich sensory experience of bread baking together with their caregivers. Children are offered the rare gift of a technology free morning where they can sink into unstructured playtime, fully explore their imaginations and integrate their play-based world while parents share and connect with one another.  Waldorf classrooms encourage deep play, which all children are driven to create. Research shows us that deep play builds neural pathways along with social and emotional capacities in young children. Playtime is followed by circle time complete with movement, songs, and storytime. A healthy communal snack is shared with parents around the table, fostering community while modeling conversation and table manners.  The morning concludes with time outdoors in the play-yard.

Class participants receive parent enrichment articles each week on various topics concerning child development: Benefits of Time Outside in Nature, Sharing, Social Conflict, Creating Rhythm in the Home, Schedule Overwhelm, Upholding Seasonal Traditions, and more.

This class is for children 18 months – age 3 at time of enrollment. Each session (Fall, Winter, Spring) is 9 weeks with a cost of $195. Classes meet on Friday mornings from 9am to 11am. Parents take turns providing complimentary snack items to accompany our freshly baked bread.

NOTE: Registration is required.

Spring Session Dates: March 6, 13, 20, 27, April 3, 17, 24, May 1, 8
