Vanessa Fugate
Vanessa Fugate graduated with a degree in Environmental Science from Elon University. This led her to the mountains of Southern California where she taught outdoor education. Her love for working with children and the land then led her to a biodynamic farm in upstate New York where children from Waldorf schools would come for week long farm trips. Vanessa became captivated by Waldorf education and began to pursue this line of work. She spent one year in New York as a Waldorf kindergarten assistant and then made the transition to the Charlottesville Waldorf School. She has been teaching kindergarten here for the last 4 years. Whether it be at school or at home, Vanessa loves digging in the dirt and playing outside. She spends her days working in the garden, wading in the river with her dogs, caring for her chickens and cows, and meandering through the woods. |
