Jenny Benson
Jenny Benson returns to Charlottesville Waldorf School for a second year as the middle school art teacher. She is constantly awed by the beautiful artwork the students at CWS create and she looks forward to another year with the middle school. Ms. Benson has been an artist all her life and has a passion for all kinds of creative expression, including circus arts, folk arts, and nature-based crafts. She has painted murals, done performance art, created baskets from hand-harvested vines, made an Appalachian ladder-back chair with hand tools, and has a particular fondness of portraiture. Ms. Benson majored in art at Oberlin College, focusing mostly on painting and drawing, and she minored in sociology.
