Aftercare programs at CWS

CWS offers after-school care for both Grade School and Early Childhood children Monday through Friday during the school year.  Both the Grade School and the Early Childhood teachers work closely with the CWS faculty to ensure that this program is harmonious with the main school day and with the Waldorf curriculum.  Aftercare is designed to be a relaxing and fun end to the children's days at school. The Early Childhood program is primarily play-oriented, children enjoy an afternoon snack, and then go outdoors on the playground, or engage in imaginative play in the Kindergarten classroom.  The Grade School aftercare program begins in a classroom where there is time for quiet homework or study and a snack, and then moves outside for games and play.

Cost
$10.00 Daily fee for each child
$5.00 daily fee for each additional sibling in attendance.

For this flat rate daily fee your child may be in aftercare for all or any part of the aftercare hours between 2:30 - 5:30.

The daily fee will be charged for each day your child is registered regardless of your child's attendance unless you notify the Main Office before 2:30 PM to cancel for that day.  Notifying us a day or several days in advance is preferred.

Aftercare invoices will be sent at the end of each month and are due upon receipt.

How to Register
Advance Registration
Call or email the Main Office to have your child placed on the roster for any amount of days.  You may register in advance by the year, the semester, the month, or the week.  Advance registration guarentees your child's space in aftercare.  For changes or cancellations, call or email the Main Office.  Calcellations and changes must be made before 2:30 PM on the day your child is registered in order to avoid being charged. 

Drop-In
Drop-in aftercare is also available.  Please note that we have staff-to-child ratio limits for the number of children in aftercare each day, so drop-ins are taken in a first-come-first-serve fashion.  Grade School aftercare can only accomodate 18 children per day and Early Childhood aftercare can only accomodate 10 children.  If the roster for the day is already full the Main Office staff will notifiy you.  To register, call or email the Main Office before 2:30 PM.  If your child is still at school and we have not been contacted, the Main Office will call you or your emergency contacts to arrange for pick up.

There is a $25 charge for children picked up after 5:30 pm.

Contracts can be changed on the first of each month if desired. Please download the contract here or stop by the business office.
