After-care programs at CWS

CWS offers after-school care for both grade school and early childhood children Monday through Friday during the school year. Both programs work closely with CWS faculty to ensure that they are harmonious with the main school day and with the Waldorf curriculum. They are designed to be a relaxing and fun end to the children's days at school. The Early childhood program is primarily play-oriented; outside on the playground, weather permitting or indoor free play. The children bring a snack from home and there is a snack time as well as the space for resting if needed. The grade school children are offered an optional fun and creative activity each day, and plenty of time to play, have a snack, or do their homework.

Cost

If a family has a regular weekly schedule, it's less expensive to sign an after-care contract and have the children attend on pre-arranged days. Up until 4:00 pm, the cost is $10/day; until 5:30 pm, the cost is $15/day.

 

For occasional drop-in use, the cost is $15/day until 4:00 pm and $20/day until 5:30 pm. In both cases, the first sibling's cost is 50% and additional siblings are free.

There is a $25 charge for children picked up after 5:30 pm.
